 In
2002, Sue Moreno and her Flaming Stars recorded some authentic
rockabilly at KC Byrds' Recording Service at the House of Sounds in Utrecht.
One of the songs, Drivin' on the Highway of Love, had been released
on the various artists cd 'BOP!'. The other songs will be released, well
.. someday.

Drivin' on the
Highway of Love... In the fall of 2003 Sue and her guys started working
on this studio album, in the famous Session Sound Studios in Rosmalen,
the Netherlands. Besides a new recorded version of Sue's self penned Drivin'
On the Highway of Love -with harmony vocals by bass-man Willy- it
contains a great variety of songs and styles. Like in their live shows,
this cd contains a combination of rockabilly and rock ‘n roll with
latin, blues, country, jazz and swing influences. Their very special version
of the classic Besame Mucho with Setzer-like guitar licks, colors
the variety of the band and once again shows Sue's love for singing in
the Spanish language. Elvis' Put The Blame On Me as well as Dorsey
Burnette's less known mambo tinted My Heart have been recorded.
Their own Oh Baby Babe is pure rockabilly, as well
as Sue's fav Sweet Love On My Mind. Special
guest musicians are incredibly talented 'Houston's own' fiddleplayer and
singer John
Permenter (with whom Sue played in the theatre tour The Country
Music Hall of Fame) and Hans vander Velde who added some mean lapsteel.
