‘As a child, I was raised on music. All kinds of music! There was always music in our house and my daddy taught me so much about all the different styles, from Dixieland to Mariachi and from Rock ‘n Roll to Country and Swing. He is responsible for my love for music, he also taught me the first grips on guitar. Throughout my professional career, he used to make suggestions on styles and songs. I am influenced by Peggy Lee, Dean Martin, Ann-Margret, Julie London, Ella Fitzgerald, Perry Como, Wynonna, Leonard Cohen and most of all my hero Elvis. I also love the instrumental jazz of Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, 40s swing orchestras and the Hollywood orchestras like Martin Denny and Les Baxter. I love melodic music that comes from the heart.‘
