Sue Moreno – The Memphis Soul Sessions – Songs of Love and Faith

A powerful tribute to the classic Memphis Soul and Southern Gospel

“These songs of devotion and worship are not like anything ever made after those time period pieces- they are real love songs, they’re good.. She’s amazing. I feel it, man” – Paul Grundman, Bernie Grundman Mastering, Los Angeles USA

For The Memphis Soul Sessions, Sue Moreno collaborated with top musicians from the famous Hi Rhythm and Stax circles, who helped shape the unique Memphis sound. They worked closely with artists like Al Green and Isaac Hayes, and decided to get together one more time to play on her album.

The album is recorded on a 16-track tape machine at Memphis Magnetic, an analog recording studio in Memphis, with recording equipment from the legendary RCA Studio in Nashville and the iconic Grand Ole Opry.

Mixing and final production at Legacy Studio in the Netherlands with engineers Joram Pinxteren and vocal coach Dennis Letnom.

The album contains 10 tracks including the singles “I’m Here”, “My Angel”, “Feel the Love” and “How He Left Wasn’t Right”. It has a full color booklet and comes in a digipack. Get your physical and signed cd here

Written , composed, arranged and produced by Sue Moreno

After going through personal loss and some very emotional times,” Moreno explains, “I decided to pick myself up and start working on this album, a very personal record. I decided to go back to the States where I first discovered my musical inspiration. ‘I’m Here’ is the first single and it’s a prayer from the heart, translated into song. I also wrote my first gospel for this album, ‘Let’s Rejoice.’  It’s got that unmistakable Memphis vibe with choir and claps. The Memphis Horns underline the emotion.” – Mixonline.com, LA
